Take your average wheelchair and then apply the motion sensors, cameras and viola! Here is the latest prototype center of Saitama University human-robot interaction.
Japanese engineers behind this marvel wanted a wheelchair that eliminates the need for a companion of man for pushing. On the contrary, the president is now all the hard work and much more. According to the official press release, the high-motion sensors to track your neighbor or any moving object, which would otherwise be pushed, and avoid obstacles while keeping its passengers in comfort.
To further improve its performance in public spaces, the wheelchair can fly on the way past groups of people and not lose its focus in the most popular.
Although its design has not eliminated the need to consider the man with his rider, this chair will no doubt improve the lives of people with disabilities in our society, and those of their peers.
